If you take a quick look at the link above, you’ll see the ad for Mountain Dew’s new ad campaign “Dew Mocracy.”
The idea is to get customers to go on the site and create a new name, flavor, and label for the next mountain dew [think Mountain Dew: Code Red].
I’d actually have to say I like the idea of it. The ad itself definitely reminded me of something like blade runner or Half Life 2, which I’m pretty sure it was supposed to give off the impression of anyways.
Bringing in the customer on it and giving them the reward of actually having a product of their creation mass produced is something to really raise awareness for their company name, and is great for publicity since I can’t remember any other company [especially a soft drink company] doing anything even close to it].
